We left for Argentina on Wednesday, Dec. 10th. We spent 3 days in Buenos Aires (more on that later-I'm skipping to the best part!)and then flew to Salta on Saturday afternnon. Salta is where the mission home is for Brennan's mission. Salta is a beautiful city with mountains all around it. We arrived about 7:30pm, rented a car and immediately drove 3 hours to the little town called Embarcacion, where Brennan has been living since September. I think that was the LONGEST 3 hours of the whole 2 years! It was pooring down rain and it was staying on the roads so we couldn't drive very fast....one of the few times when I wished Johnny could drive like he was in Houston! We arrived at his apartment around midnight. Johnny knocked on his door and he was still awake preparing a lesson for church the next day.(He knew we were coming) I stayed behind in the car for a minute and then snuck up and surprised him! It was so fun to see his face and hug him! I cried...of course....and it took me a minute before I could talk. ..and then we laughed !!! That's Brennan, always laughing! I couldn't believe that the time had finally come....wow! It was such a wonderful feeling to see him and be with him again. It was even more wonderful when we got to go to church with him the next day and meet the people he had been serving and teaching.
